TVS Motor Company, the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India,has launched the much-awaited TVS Apache RTR 200 4V in India at a starting price of INR 88,990. The new Apache RTR 200 4V would be available in two variants – Carburetor and Fuel Injection.TVS Apache RTR 200’s advanced 197.75cc, four valve racing O3C oil- cooled oversquare, five-speed engine is equipped with balancer shaft mechanism and is programmed to produce 20.2 bhp @8000 rpm with a torque of 18.1 Nm @ 7000 rpm. For the first time in the 200cc segment, TVS has introduced an oil cooled combustion chamber with ram air assist, which enables the motorcycle to achieve a top speed of 128 km/h with a performance of 0-60km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Aesthetically, the bike sports a clean and aggressive design language with aggressive tank cowl,foam-in-place racing seat, engine guard and a double-barrel exhaust. The bike also boasts of a fully digital race diagnostic speedometer. The bikes comes with high grip Remora tubeless tyres (with option of Pirelli tyres). The Apache RTR 200 4V measures 2,050 mm in length, 790 mm in width, 1,105 mm in height, 1,353 mm in wheelbase, 800 mm in saddle height and 180 mm in ground clearance. The bike sits on a double cradle split synchro stiff frame and gets a mono-tube monoshock suspension at the rear and telescopic forks up front.The Apache RTR 200 4V is equipped with petal discs and advanced double channel ABS with rear liftoff protection (RLP) facility. The bike comes equipped with electric-start and comes in six colors – yellow, red, white, titanium grey, black and glossy black.
No word yet on the availability here, though we expect Jagdamba TVS to bring the bike by mid-2016.
