LAUNCHED IN INDIA: HONDA CB HORNET 160 R

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Honda CB Hornet 160R in the Indian market at a starting price of INR 79,900. The CB Hornet 160R is HMSI’s 15th launch this calendar year. The CB Hornet 160R was first showcased at the Honda RevFest in India. The Honda CB Hornet 160R is available for sale in 2 variants- Single Disc & Dual Disc with CBS.cbhornet12Powering the CB Hornet 160R is the same 163cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine that makes 14.5 bhp @ 8000 rpm, while maximum torque is 14.61 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Specially designed to deliver good low end torque, the advanced engine also achieves a compression ratio of 10:1, delivering the right punch of power. Further, the CB Hornet 160R’s engine is equipped with a counter balancer to reduce the vibrations produced in engine. It delivers a smooth acceleration from low RPM to high RPM. The bike is also equipped with Honda’s HET (Honda Eco Technology)  to deliver extra torque & super mileage.cbhornet1The CB Hornet 160R highlights include a sharp and edgy headlight with two position lamps, upward facing side indicators, x-shaped LED tail light, a digital speedometer looks similar to that on the CB Unicorn 160.
cbhornet2The CB Hornet 160R comes fitted with a MF battery which is completely maintenance free and leakage proof. Also a Viscous Paper Air filter that requires replacement only after 18000 km and does not require maintenance, makes CB Hornet 160R more suitable for effortless usage. The all-new CB Hornet 160R complies with the BS-IV regulation norms and is one of the first motorcycle in its category to do so.cbhornet3The CB Hornet 160 R measures 2041 mm long, 783 mm wide, 1067 mm high,with  a wheelbase of 1345 mm and a ground clearance of 164mm. The bike’s fuel tank capacity is 12 litres.cbhornet4The bike also comes with an updated braking set-up in the top-end variant, which features the Combi Brake System (CBS) and dual disc brakes with a 3-pot brake calliper up front. The standard variant features a 130 mm drum brake.The all-new CB Hornet 160R comes in 5 colours – Neo Orange Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Sports Red, Pearl Siren Blue & Pearl Nightstar Black.cbhornet7Moreover, the company has also launched the ‘CB Hornet 160R’ android mobile application which can be downloaded from Google Play Store. Through this application, Indian customers will get access to product specifications, feature comparison and a product experience zone. To make the booking, the user has to select the ‘Book Now’ button on the mobile application. After submitting the required information, page will be re-directed to an online payment gateway. Expected date of delivery for their CB Hornet 160R will be than notified to the user.
