LAUNCHED IN INDIA: KAWASAKI VERSYS-X 300
Posted On: November 28, 2017 By : AutoLife TeamIndia Kawasaki Motor has launched its smallest adventure tourer, the Versys-X 300, with a price tag of INR 4.6 lakh in the Indian market. The bike will be imported as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units and will assembled at Kawasaki’s Chakan facility near Pune.
Showcased at EICMA 2016, Kawasaki Versys-X300 offers comfort, convenience and a practicality for small adventurers. The Kawasaki Versys-X300 has a 296cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine that delivers maximum power of 40 PS at 11500 rpm and maximum torque of 27.5 Nm at 10000 rpm, mated to a six-speed transmission.
The injectors and throttle values have been designed to deliver stellar efficiency with a re-tuned engine, which delivers similar power as the Kawasaki Ninja 300, for better low and mid-range grunt, also the engine is slotted into a steel backbone frame.
Kawasaki Versys-X300 has a 41mm, long-travel suspension at the front and a bottom-link, Uni-Track, gas-charged monoshock at the rear. Decent off-road ability is provided by Versys-X300 with a big- 19’’ wheel at the front and spoke wheel.
Along with the standard ABS, the Versys-X300 has a single, 290mm, petal disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The large fairing and tall windscreen provides a sharp design to the Versys-X300 along with a good wind protection.
