The arrival of NADA Auto Show is always an exciting period for Nepalese auto enthusiasts. It is during this time companies introduce new products to gain maximum market exposure and cash in before the upcoming festive season. Following suit, Raman General Pvt. Ltd has announced the launch of Runner brand of motorcycles in Nepal.
The Bangladeshi motorcycle company is a mass-selling manufacturer with affordable pricing and good service facilities.Production capacity of Runner’s manufacturing plant is about 500 pcs motorcycles per day and yearly 100,000 pcs.Although the pricing hasn’t been announced yet, let’s take a look at some of the models scheduled to be launched in the Nepalese market.

Runner AD80s Deluxe
The AD80s is powered by a four-stroke, 85cc, single cylinder, petrol engine which makes 6.14 bhp at 8500 RPM. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 4-speed transmission. Braking duties are carried by drum brakes at both ends. The bike gets a fuel tank capacity of 9 litres.
The Bullet 125 is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, four stroke petrol engine which delivers 9.6 bhp of power at 8000 RPM and 9.6NM of torque at 6500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Fuel capacity stands at 12 litres. Braking duties are carried by disc brakes at the front and drum brake at the rear.
The 98.16cc cub is air cooled and produces 6.4 bhp of power at 7500 RPM and 7 NM of torque at 5500 RPM. The moped gets both electric and kick starter. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
The Royal + is a a 109.1 cc motorcycle which is makes 8 bhp at 7500 RPM while delivering a torque of 7.8 Nm at 6000 RPM. The bike sits on a double cradle chassis with hydraulic telescopic forks upfront and coil spring hydraulic shocks at the rear. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
The 100cc Cheetah motorcycle is powered by a 95.75cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, petrol engine which makes 6.9 bhp at 8000 RPM and 6.5 NM of torque at 6500 RPM. Braking duties are carried by drum brakes at both ends.The biggest motorcycle in Runner’s lineup is the Knight Rider which is powered by a 150cc, air cooled, sohc, 4-stroke engine which delivers a peak power of 11.92 bhp at 7500 RPM and 12.2 NM of torque at 5500 RPM. The bike gets 240mm disc brake at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Fuel tank capacity stands at 15 litres.
