WORLD’S FIRST FLYING CAR NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER
Posted On: February 20, 2017 By : AutoLife TeamDutch company PAL-V has made flying cars commercially available for the first time ever. The company has unveiled the Liberty Sport and Liberty Pioneer, a pair of two-person three-wheelers capable of flying at speeds of up to 112mph. The PAL-V Liberty Sport which is priced at US$399,000 is the standard version of the PAL-V Liberty. Similarly, the PAL-V Liberty Pioneer Edition priced at US$599,000 is the “full option” and includes unique interior and exterior finishing options.
The Liberty takes about 10 minutes to transform from car to copter, according to PAL-V, and has a top speed of 161 kmph on the ground and 180.3 kmph in the sky. On the road, it boasts a range of 1315 km and fuel efficiency of 11.1km/l
Among many unique features, the PAL-V Liberty has two distinct attributes that set it apart from all other concepts. The first is that lift is created by a wind-powered rotor, making the PAL-V Liberty float in the air. Taking this gyroplane principle to the next level is the secret behind the safest and easiest flying vehicle on the market. Another attribute of the PAL-V Liberty that adds to its uniqueness is the three-wheel design and the soft tilting motion in curves.
The first PAL-V Liberty models on the market will be the limited Pioneer Edition. The Pioneer Edition marks the launch of the flying car era. Worldwide, only 90 vehicles of this edition will be sold. After the delivery of the Pioneer Edition models, PAL-V will start the delivery of the PAL-V Liberty Sports models. The PAL-V Liberty Pioneer Edition will be the very first certified commercial flying car ever delivered, a world premier.
