Posted On: July 21, 2014 By : AutoLife TeamBMW has officially unveiled the X6 crossover in India. It might not be the prettiest of Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) but the X6 is a commercial success with 250,000 units sold worldwide. The new X6 is the second generation model of the world’s first-ever Sports Activity Coupe.
BMW has offered three launch engines for the new X6 – one petrol and two diesels. The new X6 sDrive35i and X6 xDrive35i will be powered by BMW’s multi-award winning 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-6 engine that develops maximum power output of 300 bhp at 5,800 rpm, and a peak torque of 300 Nm. The N55 engine was the first BMW inline-6 to combine turbocharging, High Precision direct fuel injection, and Valvetronic variable intake technology.
All engines are mated to a standard-fit eight-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s xDrive four-wheel drive system that can be enhanced with a Dynamic Performance Control option.
