2022 Aprilia SR series launched in India

Piaggio India has launched the new and updated Aprilia SR 160 and SR 125 at a starting price of  INR 1,07,595 (for the SR 125) and INR 1,17,494 (for the SR160).


The new Aprilia SR series gets noticeable changes in design such as V-shaped LED headlight with DRLs, X-shaped motif for the LED taillight, split seats, redesigned handlebar cover, and the addition of knuckle guards.


Both scooters are powered by a BS6-compliant, air-cooled, 3V-tech FI engine. The SR powered by the 160.33cc engine generates a power of 8.1kW at 7600 rpm and a torque of 11.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. Similarly, the one that comes powered by the 124.45cc engine generates 7.2 kW of power at 7700 rpm and a torque of 9.7Nm at 6000 rpm.


The 2022 Aprilia SR gets a whole new digital instrument cluster (borrowed from the SXR 160) that features speed and fuel consumption data, readouts for trips, and a tachometer. Furthermore, the scooter comes with features such as 11 litres of under-seat storage capacity, a USB charger, and a boot light.

Launch date and price in Nepal

The 2022 version of the Aprilia SR series is expected to launch in Nepal in the first quarter of 2022.
