AIMA launches four electric scooters in Nepal

AIMA electric has debuted in Nepal with the launch of four new electric scooter models: the S5, the Mine Plus, the X-611, and the X-612. Himal EV Motors, the official distributor, has launched the four models at a price range of Rs 1.84 lakh to Rs 5.15 lakh.

Design and features

The Mine Plus gets a minimalistic design with a circular LED headlamp unit at the front. The EV comes with features such as push-button start, smart LCD display, USB charging port, and dual disc brakes.

The S5 gets a sporty design language with sharp creases and edges. The e-scooter gets an aluminium-guarded unibody seat with pillion backrest. The EV’s notable features are its smart LED instrument cluster, spacious storage, LED lighting, dual disc brakes, and folding hook, among others.

The X611 and X612 are similarly designed electric maxi-scooters; the e-scooters come with an aggressive front fascia that features a tiger eye shaped LED headlights and a bigger windscreen. Among the scooters’ notable features are their remote key, LCD instrument cluster,  dual disc brakes with CBS, double shock absorbers, and 27 litres of boot capacity, among others.

Battery and specifications

The Mine Plus comes equipped with a single 60V28Ah lithium-ion battery that is paired with a 1200 W motor. The e-scooter can speed up to 45 kmph. The EV takes six hours to charge fully via a 5A power outlet, and on a full charge it provides a range of 75-80 km.

Similarly, the S5 gets a single 72V20Ah lead-acid battery–mated to a 1200 W motor–and the scooter can speed up to 52 kmph. The e-scooter is compatible with a 5A charging outlet that can fully charge the EV in 7-8 hours and it provides a maximum range of 70 km on a single charge.

The X611 and X612 are powered by a dual 60V 35Ah lithium-ion battery. The X611–equipped with a 2000 W motor–can reach a top speed of 45 kmph, and the X612 is capable of generating a power of 3000 W; it can speed up to 80 kmph. Both models are compatible with a 10A charger that charges the battery in 6-8 hours. On a full charge, the X611 provides a range of 180 km and the XG12 model’s maximum range is 160 km.
