All-new Apache RTR 160 4V (BS-VI compliant) launched in Nepal

Jagadamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS two wheelers in Nepal, has launched a new Apache RTR 160 4V. The new bike’s design and mechanism remain largely the same, but it gets a BS-VI compliant engine and comes with three riding modes: Sport, Urban, and Rain. The bike has been offered in three colour options: Racing Red, Metallic Blue, and Knight Black–at a price of Rs 3.80 lakh.

Design and features

Among its redesigned components, the bike gets an aggressive LED headlamp with DRLs, tank cowl, engine cowl, unibody seat, LED taillight, and twin pipe muffler.

The bike comes with a digital racing console–integrated with SmartXConnect system with Bluetooth connectivity–that displays speedometer, tachometer, gear indicator, fuel-warning indicator, low-battery indicator, clock and trip-meter count. 

Engine and specifications

Powering the new Apache RTR 160 4V is a 159.7 cc RT-Fi engine (BS VI-compliant) that generates a power of 15.4 to 17.3 hp and a torque of 14.14 to 14.73 Nm, depending on the riding mode. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike can speed up to 103 kmph in Urban and Rain modes and in Sports mode, the bike can go up to 114 kmph.

The bike’s other notable features include its oil-cooled engine with RAM air assist, rear radial tyre, dual petal-disc brakes with ABS, and telescopic forks suspension at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear.
