Bajaj launches two Pulsar N-series bikes in Nepal

Bajaj has rolled out two new Pulsar models–the N160 and the N250–in Nepal. The new bikes in the N-series are based on the company’s new 250-platform and both bikes come with similar designs and features. The new Pulsar flagship models are priced at Rs 3.80 lakh (for the N160) and Rs 4.90 lakh (for the N250).

Design

The new Pulsar N-series bikes get a naked sport body that features a bi-functional LED projector headlamp with a position lamp at the front and twin strip LED tail-lights at the rear. The new bikes come with a redesigned set of semi-digital instrument cluster that displays the speedometer, gear indicator, clock, fuel-efficiency, distance to empty readout, and range-indicator, among others.

Furthermore, the new bikes come with other notable features such as a USB charging port and dual channel ABS.

Engine

The N250 is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of producing 24.5 of power at 8750 rpm and a torque of 21.5 at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission.

Powering the N160 is a 164.82 cc DTS-i engine that generates a power of 15.7 hp at 8750 rpm and a torque of 14.65 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed constant-mesh gearbox.

Both bikes get dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. Moreover, their suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock nitrox at the rear.
