Blueshark R1 e-scooter launched in Nepal

Blueshark has debuted in Nepal with the launch of the R1 electric scooter. Yomama Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor for Blueshark electric scooters in Nepal, had launched the R1 electric scooter at the NADA EV Expo 2022. The R1 comes in two colour options, at an introductory price of Rs 4.65 lakh.

Design and features

The R1 scooter gets a minimalistic design, similar to those on conventional electric scooters. The scooter comes with LED projector headlamps, a small windscreen, a 10-inch display panel, a wide unibody seat, pillion grab rails, and an LED tail-lamp.

The e-scooter is equipped with a 10-inch full color-HD screen (IPX7-waterproof display) that is intergrated with ArkRide OS. The ArkRide OS supports GPS, 4G navigation, music/video playing, driving recorder, and OTA updates, among others. Furthemore, the scooter comes with 74 all-around sensors that collect information such as the scooter’s speed, acceleration, temperature, environmental lighting, and seat pressure.

The electric scooter’s other notable features include its battery management system, passive keyless entry,  fingerprint ignition, water-level sensor, and ADAS (dual cameras+dual super-sonic sensors)


Battery and specifications

The R1 scooter is powered by a dual 1440 Wh lithium-phosphate battery that can generate a maximum power of 5 kW. The e-scooter comes with six driving modes: three regular driving modes, Helping Boost, and Turbo Racing. The scooter can speed up to 80 kmph. 

The electric scooter can be charged fully in 3.5 hours via a normal power outlet. And on a full charge, it provides a range of 160 km.
