BMW’s BS6-compliant G 310 launched in Nepal

Himalayan Motorrad, the official importer of BMW motorcycles in Nepal, has launched the all-new BS6 BMW G 310. The bike comes in two variants: the G 310 R and G 310 GS–at a starting price of Rs 13.5 lakh.

The BMW G 310 now gets an LED headlight, indicators, and a tail light. The bike comes with cast aluminium wheels with a high-quality aluminium swingarm, and it also features an ergonomic handlebar, control elements, and a comfortable seat.


Features

The bike features a digital console that includes a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, odometer, clock, and fuel gauge. Furthermore, the bike gets the Battery Management System-2 (BMS), ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable clutch-and-brake lever, and a self-start mechanism.


Engine

Powering the BMW G 310 is a 313cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine–mated to a six-speed manual transmission–that generates a power of 33.5 kW at 9500 rpm and a torque of 28 Nm at 7500 rpm.

Tyres, brakes, and suspension

The BMW G10R features an anti-lock braking system; at the front, the bike gets 4-piston fixed callipers and radially bolted brakes, and the rear brake system features single-piston floating callipers.

Similarly, the G 310 GS is also offered in three colour options: Polar White, Triple Black, and Style Rally–at a starting price of Rs 14.50 lakh.
