BSA makes a comeback with the all-new Gold Star 650

BSA has unveiled its first new motorcycle–the Gold Star 650–since its acquisition by Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group. The Gold Star, built around BSA’s retro designs, comes powered by a 652cc engine and is expected to make a global debut within this year.

The bike comes with retro-style round halogen bulb headlights and LED tail lights. On the body, the fuel tank gets chrome touches on the sides. An offset fuel filler cap, a dash of colour with contrasting pinstripes, an optimised handlebar, flat-bench seats, and chrome fenders further enhance the distinct retro design.

Powering the Gold Star is a 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine (BS6-compliant) that generates a power of 45 hp at 6000 rpm and a torque of 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. The bike comes with a five-speed manual transmission and assist-and-slipper clutch.

The Gold Star features twin-pod instruments comprising analogue speedometer and tachometer units along with LCD multi-functional display. Furthermore, the bike comes with features such as dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch, and a USB charger.

The bike comes with 12 litres of fuel tank capacity, and the company claims the bike offers 30 kmpl of fuel efficiency.
