BWM TO OFFICIALLY RIDE INTO NEPAL THIS DECEMBER
Posted On: November 4, 2018 By : AutoLife TeamThe BMW dream is coming to life! Yes you have heard it right, the German automotive giant BMW Motorrad will be making it’s way to Nepal in December 2018. Torque Motor Trading is the authorized distributor for BMW Motorrad.
The G 310 R and G 310 GS will be making its way first before the other line up are introduced in our market. The G 310 R and G 310 GS comes with a reversed cylinder design that slopes towards the rear wheel, instead of the conventional engine layout. This engine is a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit with four valves and a DOHC cylinder head. It churns out 34hp of power and 28Nm of torque on both bikes and is paired to a six-speed gearbox. Both bikes also get tubular steel frames, five-spoke alloy wheels and dual-channel ABS; the GS gets ABS that can be disengaged. The kerb weights for the G 310 R and G 310 GS are 158.5kg and 169.5kg, respectively.
The G 310 R will be a very exciting prospect for buyers looking for a naked sport bike in the mid-higher capacity segment as the main option in the segment is either the KTM Duke 390 and the CFmoto NK400. The G 310 GS on the other hand is quite an interesting bike as it shares the same engine with the G 310 R but has longer suspension travel, higher ground clearance, higher seat height, different fairings and longer wheelbase. All of this is done to make the GS more capable off road while having the ability to cruise in the city with ease. With the price said to be very competitive it wont surprise us to see a lot of BMWs on the street soon after the launch. We will update you all with the latest news as soon as we hear anything about this.
