Bookings for the BYD Atto 3 might open within this week
Posted On: May 8, 2022 By : Shuva Raj KhatriAfter finding major success with the second-generation E6 (launched in 2021), BYD is set to introduce yet another electric vehicle–the Atto 3–in Nepal. In the global market, the Atto 3 comes in two battery options: 50.1 kWh and 60.4 kWh. However, in Nepal, Cimex Inc, the authorised distributor of BYD vehicles here, is set to launch the EV with a bigger battery capacity, which provides a range of 420 km (WLTP). The Atto 3 will go head-to-head with the recently launched MG ZS EV Facelift (long range) in terms of range and pricing.

Get to know more about the vehicle:
Design
The Atto 3 gets a conventional EV type design and comes with notable exterior features such as a panoramic sunroof with electric slides, roof rails, and electrically heated and adjustable side mirrors. The EV stands on 18-inch alloy wheels.
For lighting, the EV gets LED headlights with integrated DRLs at the front, and on the rear are LED tail lights connected by a horizontal light bar.
Inside, the EV’s major highlight is a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Other interior features include synthetic leather upholstered seats, electric power-assisted steering wheel, and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster.
Battery and performance
The Atto 3 gets BYD’s Blade Battery and is likely to come with the 60.4 kWh battery–paired with a PMSM–which is capable of generating a power of 200 hp and a torque of 310 Nm.
The EV gets fully charged in approximately 45 minutes via a 80 kW fast charger, and on a single charge, the EV provides a range of 420 km.
