BYD has unveiled a new electric vehicle–the Atto 3–in India. The Atto 3, which will make its way here later, is based on the company’s E-platform 3.0 and the EV comes with a 60.4 kWh battery that provides a range of 521 km (ARAI).
Cimex Inc, the authorised distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, is set to launch the Atto 3 here on 15 October. The new EV will go head to head with the MG’s ZS EV Facelift (long range), Hyundai Kona, and Kia Niro in terms of range and pricing.

The Atto 3 gets a conventional EV type design and comes with notable exterior features such as a panoramic sunroof with electric slides, roof rails, and electrically heated and adjustable side mirrors. For lighting, the EV gets LED headlights with integrated DRLs at the front, and on the rear are LED tail lights connected by a horizontal light bar. The EV stands on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the EV’s major highlight is a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Other interior features include synthetic leather-upholstered seats, electric power-assisted steering wheel, and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster.
Battery and performance
The Atto 3 gets BYD’s 60.4 kWh Blade Battery–paired with a PMSM–that is capable of generating a power of 200 hp and a torque of 310 Nm.
The electric crossover takes 9.5-10 hours to charge fully via a 7 kW AC charger, and via a 80 kW DC charger, the EV can be charged 0-80% in approximately 50 minutes. And on a single charge, the EV provides a range of 521 km, according to ARAI.

For comfort and convenience, the EV might come with an automatic single-zone air conditioner, PM 2.5 air filter, six-way adjustable driver seat, four-way adjustable co-driver seat, wireless phone charger, three driving modes, keyless entry and keyless start, 360-view camera, one-touch open/close tailgate, and vehicle-to-load feature.
Furthermore, the EV comes with safety features such as level-2 ADAS (BYD Dipilot), seven airbags, ABS with EPS, EPB, hill-descent control, seat-belt reminder, traction-control system, ISOFIX, and TPMS.
BYD Atto 3 price in Nepal
Cimex Inc. will launch the Atto 3 on October 15. Although there has been no official news regarding the EV’s pricing details, fans can expect it to cost around Rs 90 lakh here.
