Citroen launches the C3 at Rs 34.49 lakh in Nepal

Citroen Nepal has introduced its highly anticipated hatchback, the C3, as its second offering in the Nepalese market. The C3 is available in two variants, Live and Feel, and it is exclusively available in a petrol engine only. The starting price for this new hatchback is set at Rs 34.49 lakh.

Design and features

The C3 is based on the company’s C-cubed platform. The hatchback measures 3981 mm in overall length, 1733 mm in overall width, and 1586 mm in overall height, and it comes with a 2540 mm wheelbase.

The C3’s front fascia features a front grille in matte black, round headlights, and the distinctive Chevron logo from Citroen, extending to the DRL with a chrome bar. The hatchback sports body-colored bumpers at both the front and rear, along with multi-spoke alloy wheels. The hatchback is available in four single-tone color choices: Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, and Steel Grey.

Inside, the C3 gets a single-tone black cabin featuring leather-upholstered seats, with the driver’s seat benefiting from height adjustability. The dashboard boasts a flat-bottom steering wheel equipped with audio and phone controls, a digital instrument console, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

In terms of safety, the C3 includes notable features such as two airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, an engine immobilizer, a seat belt reminder, speed-sensitive automatic door locking, and a high-speed alert system. For convenience, the hatchback offers power windows, a tilt steering column, manual air conditioning with a heater, four speakers, USB connectivity, keyless entry, manually adjustable outside rear-view mirrors, foldable rear seats, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Powertrain

In India, the C3 is available with two petrol engine options: a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine. However, in Nepal, the company has chosen to offer only the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. As a result, the C3 is equipped with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers a maximum power output of 81 hp at 5750 rpm and a peak torque of 115 Nm at 3750 rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The hatchback comes with a 30-liter fuel tank and it provides a mileage of 19.8 kmpl.
