Chery Tiggo4 Pro launched in Nepal

SPG Automobiles Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributors for Chery Automobile Co. Ltd in Nepal, has officially launched the Chery Tiggo4 Pro SUV. The new SUV comes in three variants at a starting price of Rs 42.60 lakh.


The Tiggo4 Pro features a new front face and the vehicle, overall, has a muscular profile. It comes with a 17-inch large sporty aluminum-alloy wheel with a 5-spoke mirror design. The SUV’s diamond intake grille with crystal diamond lens LED headlights and the G-type dynamic daytime running lights add to the sporty character. The SUV is also equipped with a sunroof, and in addition, the driver’s seat is equipped with an electric six-way adjustment function.

The interior of the new Tiggo4 Pro is functional and fashionable. It features a floating centre console, a D-type three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and multimedia functions integrated on the dashboard. On the dashboard sits a seven-inch LCD meter and a 10.2-inch infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, and other functions. The SUV also comes equipped with rear armrests with storage and second-row AC vent.

Engine and performance

The Tiggo4 Pro comes in three engine options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (mated to a five-speed manual transmission), a naturally aspirated 1.5L engine (mated to a five-speed CVT), and a 1.5L turbocharged engine (mated to a nine-speed CVT). The  vehicle powered by the naturally aspirated engine generates a power of 115 Ps and a torque of 138 Nm, whereas the 1.5L turbocharged engine generates 147 Ps of power and a torque of 210 Nm. The Tiggo4 Pro, says the company, provides a mileage of 14.7 kmpl.


The New Tiggo4 Pro has a class-beating 4318mm long body, 2610mm long wheelbase, a width of 1830 mm and height of 1670 mm. The SUV’s ground clearance is 200 mm, and its boot space has a  capacity of 340 litres. There are as many as 34 storage spaces to meet the various storage needs of passengers.

The SUV comes with a push-button start and a segment-first PEPS (Passive Entry Passive Start) remote start system with keyless entry and a smart-unlock feature. 

The Tiggo4 Pro comes with safety features such as 6-ring type airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic-stability program, traction-control system, emergency brake assist, roll-stability control, hill-start assist, anti-pinch feature, child-lock door, ISOFIX, tyre-pressure monitoring system, and electronic parking brake (EPB).

The new Tiggo4 Pro also features the EPB+auto-hold technology. EPB releases the parking brakes through electronic control to ensure that equal braking force is applied to each wheel. And the auto-hold feature integrates the temporary braking function during driving and the braking function after parking.

The Tiggo4 Pro is available in six different colours: ICX Blue, Jewel Red, Nasdaq Silver, Khaki White, Celadon Ash, and Carbon Crystal Black.
