EVs that provide over 350 km of range
Posted On: March 29, 2022 By : Shuva Raj KhatriOne of the first things that comes to mind before buyers invest in an EV is the vehicle’s range. In Nepal, where availability of charging infrastructure outside city areas barely exists, EV owners often stress about travelling outside the city.
Most EVs in Nepal provide a range of more than 300 km, which means it wouldn’t be much of a problem for EVs to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu (minimum distance: 204 km). However, one can never be certain about unforeseeable hindrances (such as under-construction roads, accidents, etc.) while travelling along Nepal’s highways. Therefore, an EV providing a greater range would be always preferable.
Here are some EVs that provide a range of more than 350 km on a single charge:
JAC E-T8 pickup
Thee-Go Nepal launched an electric pick-up–the JAC E-T8–in November 2021. The pickup is powered by a 67.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that generates 110 kW of power and a torque of 320 Nm. The pickup gets fully charged in two hours through a DC fast charger and provides a range of 350 km.

Among its notable features are a steering wheel with audio command, infotainment system, reverse camera, dual airbags, regenerative-braking system, brake-override system, and ABS.
