Ford Everest set to launch in Nepal in 2022 | Bookings open at Rs 1.99 crore

Having won over auto enthusiasts in the ASEAN region, the second-generation premium SUV is set to make waves here. It will be offered at an introductory price of Rs 1.99 crore (for Titanium variant).

Design
The SUV’s exterior features a grille finish at front along with Bi-LED headlamps (with automatic headlamp levelling) and DRLs. The side of the SUV has a chrome-finish side-mirror with power-fold, heater and puddle lamps, and running boards. On the rear is a hands-free power tailgate.

The seven-seater SUV has a leather-accented interior that features a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, four-way manual-adjustable front passenger seat, and five child-seat anchor points. Furthermore, it comes with an eight-inch capacitive-touchscreen infotainment system (compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto). Other connectivity features include USB Integration ports, dual 4.2-inch colour-instrumentation screens, dual antenna system, embedded modem (Fordpass), satellite navigation with voice control and traffic message channel, and windscreen-mounted USB port.
Performance
The Ford Everest is powered by a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine–mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission–that generates 157 kW at 3500 rpm of power and a torque of 500 Nm at 1750-2000 rpm.

For convenience, the vehicle offers features such as smart keyless entry, push start/stop button, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate control, overhead console with map lights and sunglass holder, electrochromatic rearview mirror, pollen filter, and 30 stowage areas (total 48L).

The SUV comes with a plethora of safety features such as seven airbags, terrain management system, adjustable speed limiter, auto on/off headlamps, auto high-beam control, driver alert system, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian protection, electronic power-assisted steering, blind-spot monitoring system, tyre-pressure monitoring system, emergency brake assist, hill-launch assist, lane-departure warning, rearview camera, traffic-sign recognition, ABS, rollover-mitigation mechanism, traction control, and parking-assist sensors.
