Hero Vida V1 electric scooter launched in IndiaPosted On: October 9, 2022 By : Shuva Raj Khatri
Hero MotorCorp has introduced its first electric scooter–the Vida–with the launch of the V1 in India. The Vida V1 has been offered in two variants: the V1 Plus and the V1 Pro–at a starting price of INR 1.45 lakh. The new e-scooters come equipped with either a 3.44 kWh or a 3.94 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of 143-165 km, depending on the variant.
Design and features
The Vida V1 scooter gets an unconventional design with sharp creases and edges. The e-scooter’s front fascia features a unique set of LED headlamps with DRLs and a distinct shield-type windscreen at the centre of the handlebar. The new e-scooter is offered with three seating modularity options, meaning the scooter’s seats can be configured in three ways: the Config 1 gets a regular split seats arrangement; the Config 2 gets split seats with an open rear-end; and the Config 3 gets a single seat with open boot space.
The V1 e-scooters come equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. The e-scooter comes with notable features such as keyless control, three riding modes (Eco, Ride, and Sport), a two-way throttle, cruise control, an SOS alert button, removable batteries, 26 litres of boot space, and follow-me-home headlight.
