Honda has launched the 2022 version of the CBR 650R in India. The new sports bike gets minor upgrades on design and comes in two colour options–Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic–at a starting price of INR 9.35 lakh.
The aggressively styled sports bike’s front fascia–inspired by its bigger sibling, the CBR1000R Fireblade–features dual LED headlights (with new reflectors), and the rear features sleek LED tail lights.
The new CBR600R comes with a redesigned exhaust and muffler–four exhaust downpipes sweep together around the front of the engine to to deliver a spine-tingling roar as revs climb. The bike stands on 17-inch, five-spoked, Y-shaped aluminium wheels.
Engine and performance
The CBR650R comes with a 649 cc, 4-stroke, SI engine that generates a power of 89 hp at 1200 rpm and a torque of 57.5 Nm at 8500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed constant mesh gearbox with assist/slipper clutch.
Also, the bike comes with a Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), for manually adjusting rear-wheel traction.
The bike is equipped with an LCD digital instrument cluster that features a digital speedometer, digital bar-graph tachometer, dual trip meters, digital fuel-level gauge and fuel-consumption gauge, digital clock, water-temp gauge, and gear-position and shift-up indicator.
The bike’s other notable features are its Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and Honda Ignition Security System (HISS).

Honda CBR 650R price in Nepal
Currently, Honda Nepal has two sport bikes in the big bikes category–the CB600RR and the CB250R–and there is no official news yet on the arrival of the 2022 CBR650R in Nepal. When it does get here, it might be priced between Rs 30-35 lakhs.
