Hyundai Kona facelift set to be launched in Nepal
Posted On: November 28, 2021 By : Shuva Raj KhatriLaxmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, has launched the all-new Kona facelift. The new EV, despite getting major changes to the exterior and interior, comes with the same battery performance.
Design
The Kona facelift features these changes on the exterior: the front grille has been removed, the headlamps are re-designed and the DRLs have become slimmer, the 17-inch alloy wheels have been re-designed as well, and the premium trim now gets an electric sunroof.
The Kona’s interior features an eight-inch digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system of the same size. The infotainment system, which is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto, is an inch bigger than its predecessor’s.
Performance
The all-new Kona gets the same battery and motor performance as its predecessor’s. The EV will be offered in two battery options–39.2 kWh and 64 kWh–and both come paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor.

Features
The new EV comes with notable convenience features such as remote climate control, wireless-charging pad, remote key, paddle shifters (regenerative braking control), and electric gear-shift button.

Furthermore, for safety, the vehicle features six airbags, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, safe-exit warning, and forward-collision warning.
Hyundai Kona facelift price in Nepal (expected)
The Kona facelift might be launched in Nepal in early 2022, at an expected price of Rs 60 lakhs (for the standard variant) and Rs 75 lakhs (for the top variant).
