All-new Hyundai Tucson launched in Nepal

Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd, the sole authorized distributor for Hyundai cars in Nepal, officially launched the all-new Hyundai Tucson on 6 September.

The SUV comes in four variants: the GL 2WD (petrol), GLS 2WD (petrol), SLX 2WD (petrol), and GLX 4WD (diesel). The price of the Hyundai Tucson in Nepal starts from Rs 94.96 lakh.

Design

The Hyundai Tucson comes with a dark chrome radiator grille on the front that features parametric hidden lights on both sides. The SUV stands on 18” alloy wheels, and it uses LED daytime running lights as headlamps and LED combination lamps on the rear.

The SUV comes with a completely new interior design that looks more futuristic than its predecessor’s. Among the minimalist design, cues are a wrap-around structure and a 10.3-inch infotainment screen embedded at the centre of the dashboard.

Performance

The new Hyundai Tucson’s variants feature a range of petrol and diesel engines. The top-end variant, with a 150hp 1.6-litre petrol engine, comes with a 7-speed shift-by-wire dual-clutch transmission as standard and is available as a front-wheel-drive only. The diesel engine variant, however, is offered with four-wheel drive as an option.

The Smartstream G2.0 (petrol) engine generates a maximum power of 156 ps and a maximum torque of 19.6 kgm.

The Smartstream D2.0 (diesel) engine, with a displacement of 1998 cc, produces a peak power of 186 ps and a peak torque of 42.5 kgm.

Features

The SUV includes convenience features like ventilated and heated front seats, mood lamps, a walk-in device, a full auto air conditioning system, an integrated memory system, and an automatic power tailgate.

The petrol-powered variants have 620 litres of space, and the diesel models get 598 litres.
