Posted On: March 2, 2022 By : Shuva Raj KhatriThe EV6, Kia’s first EV built on its Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), has been awarded the European Car of the Year 2022. The Nepal-bound EV6 has been voted the best, over Renault’s Megane E-TECH (second), and Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 (third).

Kia entered the Nepali EV market by launching the Soul EV. Then, it was later replaced by the Niro EV in 2019. Following the success of the two EV models, Kia is soon launching its new EV model–the EV6–in Nepal.
The EV comes with two battery options–77.4 kWh and 58 kWh–in the global market. However, in Nepal, the EV6 is likely to come equipped with the 77.4 kWh battery.
