KTM RC390 and RC200 finally launched in Nepal

ktm1Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Pvt. Ltd, yesterday launched the highly anticipated KTM RC series of supersport motorcycles, the RC 390 and the RC 200 in Nepal. The RC Supersport series comes with KTM’s vast experience and knowledge gained in the world of Moto3 which is the 250cc segment of MotoGP racing.

The RC390 which is powered by the state-of-the-art, liquid cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke 373 cc engine with twin overhead camshafts, four valves and electronic fuel injection makes 43 bhp of power delivering highest level of smoothness. The RC390 provides a ‘Pure Racing’ experience like no other motorcycle in the country. ktm6ktm45c5bb2fa1bceb2e6eb0ffcc65ecabaa8Similarly, the RC200 comes with a water cooled, 4-stroke engine which makes 25 bhp of power. The RC200 is the first motorcycle to bring full blooded Supersport design and looks in the 200cc motorcycle segment. KTM has given RC200 the superbike style with Moto3 inspired elements. ktm8

The orange painted frame has been modified to better fit the supersport ergonomics and dynamics. 465b8a7592e2c3672a9bde2dd1b2b925Equally lightweight as stable, the RC 390 is fitted with 17’’orange painted cast light alloy wheels and fitted with racer friendly Metzeler tyres – 110 mm wide at the front and an impressive 150 mm at the rear. KTM has given the RC200 MRF tyres. These grippy tyres impress with tremendous grip in both wet and dry conditions, as well as providing supreme durability.  The RC200 gets an all-black colour while the 390 is black and white.

ABS is equipped as standard on every RC 390, ensuring maximum safe on any road condition. Both the motorcycles are mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Fitted with ABS brakes, braking is done at the front via a radially mounted caliper and 300mm single-brake disc, while a 230mm disc is fitted to the rear. When taking the RC to the racetrack, the ABS can be turned off.  However, RC200 will not receive ABS to keep costs affordable.  A brand new steel fuel tank with 9.5l capacity (including 1.5l reserve) has been developed for the RC series.40f1a4ee0f7352113ccf6acf65d3fb37Similarly, KTM has given the RC200 and RC390 twin projector headlamps and LED tail lamps. The brand new twin headlight opens a new direction for KTM style and perfectly matches with the racing supersport look of the RC. The 100% digital LCD display has everything you could expect from a state of the art KTM motorcycle, including engaged gear, fuel gauge and service reminder information.  The compact underbelly, three-chamber silencer is positioned close to the bike’s overall centre of gravity.
