Just two years after entering the Nepalese market, Datsun is expanding its offering by introducing an all-new entry-level compact hatchback christened as the ‘redi-GO’. Pioneer Moto Corp, the authorized national dealer for Datsun vehicles in Nepal, has launched the Datsun redi-GO in the Nepalese market at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lacs for the base variant which goes all the way upto Rs 18,49,000 for the highest variant.  The Datsun redi-GO, which according to the company is the first urban-cross in the Nepalese market, offers best-in-class features in terms of performance, economy, safety and comfort. Datsun redi-GO is the third offering from Datsun stable. 

Based on the versatile Common Module Family (CMF-A) platform from the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the redi-GO is powered by an all-new 799cc three-cylinder iSAT (Intelligent Spark Automated Technology) three-cylinder petrol engine paired with a five speed manual transmission.  The engine is tuned to produce the 53bhp of power at 5678rpm and 72Nm of torque at 4386rpm. According to the company, the hatchback can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 15.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 140 km/h.

The Datsun redi-GO showcases a new Japanese design philosophy called YUKAN – which stands for brave and bold.  It also offers best-in-class ground clearance of 185 mm, extra roominess and excellent external visibility for the driver. The top-end trim also features daytime running lamps, while the driver side airbag is available as standard.

Inside, the hatchback gets a 3-spoke steering wheel, a 2-DIN audio system, USB and AUX connectivity, CD player, two speakers and front power window controls on the floor console.

Talking about dimensions, the redi-GO measures 3429 mm in length, 1560 mm in width, and 1541 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2348 mm while the boot capacity stands at 222-litres. The new suspension system allows the hatch back to offer a good balance between handling and ride comfort.

Datsun redi-GO will be available at 11 Datsun sales & service touch-points in Nepal starting today.It  will be available in five variants and five attractive body colour options – White, Silver, Grey, Ruby and Lime.
