All-new Suzuki Celerio launched in Nepal

Narayani Auto Business, the authorised distributor of Maruti Suzuki four-wheelers in Nepal, has launched the all-new Celerio. The new-generation hatchback, built on the Heartect platform, is powered by the new K-series engine.

The company says the Celerio will be Nepal’s most fuel-efficient vehicle (in its category), providing a mileage of 26.68 kmpl. The Celerio comes in three variants: the Vxi, the Zxi, and the Zxi+, at a starting price of Rs 27.99 lakh.

Design

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio gets an organic 3D-sculpted design with a radiant grille featuring sharp chrome accents at the front. The new model comes with the same headlights as its predecessor did but the tail lights are now droplet-styled. The vehicle, standing on 15-inch black-coloured alloy wheels, is 55mm wider than its predecessors.

The Celerio’s interior features a spacious cabin and contemporary dashboard. On the dashboard sits an integrated 17.78cm infotainment system (with an in-built navigation feature) that is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Engine

The all-new Celerio is powered by a new K-series engine: K10C dual VVT (BS6 compliant), which generates a power of 66 hp at 5500 rpm and a torque of 89 Nm at 3800 rpm. Its engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle comes with a first-in-segment idle start-stop feature that shows improved fuel-efficiency–providing a certified ARAI mileage of 26.68 kmpl. The car features a 60:40 split rear seat that provides 313 litres of boot space–40% more than its predecessors did.
