MG Hector set to launch in Nepal | Bookings open

Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd, the authorized distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has launched the MG Hector in the country. Bookings open at the starting price of Rs 60 lakh. The all-new SUV is the latest addition to the brand’s lineup of GS, ZS, ZS EV, and HS models.

Design

The all-new MG Hector has a dual-tone exterior, featuring a chrome-accent grille, LED headlamps and fog lamps, and floating-light turn indicators at the front. The rear of the vehicle features a garnished tailgate, skid-plate in metal tone, and LED taillamps and fog lights.

The SUV comes with champagne and black dual-tone interiors featuring front and rear metallic scuff plates. Among the seats–leather upholstered–is a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 4-way power-adjustable co-driver seat, and flat foldable (60:40) second-row seats. Upfront sits a leatherette-covered steering wheel with an MG logo centrally featured.

Performance

The MG Hector is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged petrol or a 1.5L turbocharged petrol-hybrid engine that generates a maximum power of 143 Ps and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Features

The SUV comes equipped with a 20.4cm HD touchscreen infotainment system powered by a premium sound system by Infinity that is connected to eight speakers and tweeters.

The SUV, powered by i-Smart technology, includes over 60 features such as remote operation (for the AC, sunroof, door, emergency lights, ‘find my car’ feature, and stolen vehicle tracking assistance), engine-start alarm, critical tyre-pressure voice alert, geo-fence up to 100 km, vehicle status check, online navigation, voice recognition, and over-the-air update (OTA). For convenience, the vehicle features front-ventilated seats, push-start button, electric-parking brake, air purifier, wireless phone charging, four-door sun shades, fatigue-reminder setting, ambient lighting, and auto-dimming IRVM.

The vehicle comes with safety features such as six airbags, three-points seatbelts, traction-control with ESP, hill-hold control, ABS with EBD, rear defogger, speed-sensing auto door-lock, immobilizer, anti-theft alarm, ISOFIX, front-parking sensors, and 360-degree camera view.

The MG Hector’s price in Nepal 

The MG Hector is available in only one variant–Shine–in Nepal, and the booking has been opened at Rs 60 lakh (for MT) and Rs 65 lakh (for DCT).
