MG Hector officially launched in Nepal

Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd, the authorized distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has launched the MG Hector at a starting price of Rs 59.99 lakh. The all-new SUV is the latest addition to the brand’s lineup of GS, ZS, ZS EV, and HS models.


The all-new MG Hector has a dual-tone exterior, featuring a chrome-accent grille, LED headlamps and fog lamps, and floating-light turn indicators at the front. The rear of the vehicle features a garnished tailgate, skid-plate in metal tone, and LED taillamps and fog lights.

The SUV comes with champagne and black dual-tone interiors featuring front and rear metallic scuff plates. Among the seats–leather upholstered–is a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 4-way power-adjustable co-driver seat, and flat foldable (60:40) second-row seats. Upfront sits a leatherette-covered steering wheel with an MG logo centrally featured.


The MG Hector is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 143 Ps and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed CVT.

The SUV comes equipped with a 26.4cm HD touchscreen AVN infotainment system powered by a premium sound system by Infinity that is connected to eight speakers and tweeters.

For convenience, the vehicle features auto AC, front-ventilated seats, six-way power adjustable driver seat, four-way power adjustable co-driver seat, push-start button, remote keyless entry, air purifier, tilt-and-telescopic steering, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, and rain-sensing wipers.

The vehicle comes with safety features such as six airbags, three-points seatbelts, traction-control with ESP, hill-hold control, ABS with EBD, rear defogger, electronic parking brake, speed-sensing auto door-lock, immobilizer, anti-theft alarm, ISOFIX, front-parking sensors, and 360-degree camera view.

The MG Hector’s price in Nepal 

The MG Hector comes in three variants: the Shine, the Smart, and the Sharp at the starting price of 59.99 lakh (for the Shine MT) and goes up to Rs 78.25 lakh (for Sharp CVT).
