Oben Electric to debut in Nepal with the launch of the Rorr

After five months of its launch in India, Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based startup, is set to introduce its flagship e-bike–the Rorr–in Nepal. E-moto company, a subsidiary of the Golchha Group, is readying to launch the Rorr here in late August or early September.

Design and features

The Rorr gets a neo-sport design language. The bike’s front fascia gets round LED headlights with DRLs, wide handlebars, and a naked display screen. The body features a muscular cover on top of the battery and a sporty unibody seat. The bike stands on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The e-bike gets a colourful digital instrument cluster that displays information such as speed, odometer, battery health, range, and riding modes, among others. Furthermore, the bike comes with a smart-connectivity feature that displays riding analytics, battery usage, vehicle health, geofencing, and anti-theft alerts, via a mobile app.

Battery and specifications

The Rorr is powered by a 4.4 kWh lithium-ion battery that is capable of generating a power of 13.5 hp and a torque of 62 Nm. The bike comes with three riding modes: Eco, City, and Havoc. The e-bike can do 0-40 kmph in 3 seconds and can speed up to 100 kmph. 

For charging, the bike can be charged with a standard charger (compatible with a 15A socket only) that takes 2 hours to charge fully. And on a full charge, the e-bike provides a maximum range of 200 km, according to Indian Drive Cycle (IDC).

Oben Rorr price in Nepal

The Rorr comes at a price of INR 1-1.25 lakh in India, depending on the state. Although the bike’s price in Nepal hasn’t been revealed yet, fans can expect it to cost around Rs 3.25 lakh here.
