Ola electric scooters to debut in Nepal

CG Motors, the authorised distributor of Ola electric scooters in Nepal, will launch the scooter in two variants: the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro, at the upcoming NADA EV Expo 2022.

Design and features
The Ola electric scooter’s overall design has been kept simple. It gets a plain front fascia with the brand’s logo at the centre and slim indicators below. The scooter’s handlebar gets two projector headlamps surrounded by a smiley-shaped DRL. The scooter comes with a wide and flat unibody seat and under it is a large 36-litre storage space. The e-scooter is offered in ten vibrant colour options: Red, Yellow, Black, White, Sky Blue, Grey, Satin Blue, Pink, Gold, and Silver.

The e-scooter comes equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with 3 GB memory, in-built navigation, and bluetooth-connectivity features. The S1 model gets three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport; and the S1 Pro comes with an extra riding mode–Hyper.

The e-scooters come with other notable features such as side-stand alert, reverse mode-electronic steering control lock, front brake type, OTA updates, geo-fencing, and remote boot lock/unlock. Furthemore, only the S1 Pro model gets a cruise control feature.
Battery and specifications
The S1 model is powered by a 3 kWh battery, which is paired with an 8.5 kW motor that provides a range of 128 km. The e-scooter can go from 0-40 kmph in 3.8 seconds and its top speed is 95 kmph.
Similarly, the S1 Pro model comes with a bigger 4 kWh battery–paired with a 8.5 kW motor–that provides a range of 170 km. The e-scooter can accelerate from 0-40 kmph within 2.9 seconds and it can achieve a top speed of 116 kmph.
For charging, the S1 and S1 Pro take 5 hours, and 6 hours and 30 minutes, respectively, via a portable home charger.

Ola S1 series price in Nepal
The Ola S1 scooter’s price in India starts at INR 1 lakh, and it goes up to INR 1.40 lakh. Although there has been no news regarding its price in Nepal, fans can expect its price to start at around Rs 3.40 lakh.
