Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro unveiled in India

Ola Electric, an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched its flagship electric scooter in two different variants–the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro–in the Indian market. The Ola S1 is priced at INR 99,999 and the Ola S1 Pro is priced at INR 1,29,999.

Engine and transmission

The Ola S1 gets a 2.98 kWh battery pack and the S1 Pro gets a 3.97 kWh battery pack. However, the motor used in these two scooters, which the company refers to as ‘Hyperdrive Motor’, is the same and delivers a peak power of 8.5 kW.

Features and safety

Ola offers Normal and Sport riding modes for its S1 variant and the Pro variant comes with an extra Hyper riding mode. The scooter’s massive 7-inch TFT display shows a host of information such as navigation, reduced CO2 emission figures, a playlist, and calls and texts, to name a few. The company allows users to unlock the scooter by proximity unlock, voice recognition, and a connected mobile app. Furthermore, the S1 Pro variant gets additional features like a reserve option one click away, hill-hold function, and cruise function.
