GWM all set to launch the Ora Good Cat in Nepal

VG Impex, the authorised distributor of GWM vehicles in Nepal, is all set to officially launch the Ora Good Cat EV. The hatchback will be GWM’s first EV model in the Nepali market.

The Good Cat is expected to come in three variants: the Tech, Pro, and Ultra, at a starting price of Rs 39.99 lakh. 

Get to know the vehicle in detail:


On the exterior the retro-looking hatchback gets an intelligent LED headlamp with DRLs at the front, and on the rear,  its tail-lights and indicators are placed low. The EV also comes with an LED taillight strip just below the rear window.

The EV’s interior gets a minimalistic design, and features a dual-tone cabin and a dual wide-screen setup—a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. 


The Good Cat will come with two battery options: a 47.78 kWh and a 63.13 kWh.

Both the batteries will be paired with a 105 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor that is capable of generating 105 kW of power and a torque of 210 Nm. 

The EV can get to a speed of 152 kmph. As for charging, the vehicle powered by the 47.78 kWh battery takes 8 hours to charge fully via home charger ,and via a DC fast charger, the vehicle can charge from 0-80% in 46 minutes. 

Similarly, the one powered by the 63.14 kWh battery takes 10 hours to charge fully via a home charger, and it can charge from 0-80% in 60 minutes via a DC fast charger.

On a full charge, the EV provides a range (NEDC) of 400-500 km.

The Ora Good Cat might come with a plethora of convenience features such as automatic AC, auto door lock, keyless engine start, keyless entry system, adaptive cruise control, wireless charging, navigation system, voice command, driving-range status, battery overheat/low voltage alarm, and anti-theft security alarm.

As for safety, the EV is expected to come with front, side, and curtain airbags, 360-degree surround camera, hill-start assist, traffic jam assist, low speed emergency braking, front and rear sensors, speed alarm, ISOFIX, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Ora Good Cat price in Nepal

The Good Cat will come in three variants: the Tech, the Pro, and the Ultra. The ORA Good Cat price in Nepal starts at Rs 39.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 47.99 lakh.
