Bajaj launches the Pulsar NS125 in Nepal at Rs 2.80 lakh

Bajaj has launched a new entry level bike–the NS 125–part of its most coveted Pulsar-series, in Nepal. The NS 125 is the smallest (in terms of displacement) and the most affordable bike in the brand’s NS lineup. The NS 125 is offered in four colour options: Beach Blue, Fiery Orange, Burnt Red, and Pewter Grey–at an introductory price of Rs 2.80 lakh.

Design

The new NS125 carries a design language similar to that of other NS models; the bike gets a combined (halogen+LED) headlamp unit, clip-on handlebars, semi-digital console, 12-litre fuel tank capacity, two-step seats, and LED tail lights. Furthermore, the new bike gets the same set of liveries as the older NS models, but with the ‘125’ badging.

Engine and specifications

Powering the bike is a 124.4 cc DTS-i engine that generates a power of 11 hp at 8750 rpm and a torque of 11 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed constant-mesh gearbox. The sports bike can speed up to 103.29 kmph.

Unlike its elder siblings, the NS125 doesn’t come with ABS; however, the new bike gets a Combined Braking System (CBS) that combines a 240mm front disc brake with a 130 mm drum at the rear, when employed. Moreover, its suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and monoshocks at the rear.
