Owing to the decline in the sedan’s popularity, its pricing has been lowered too, but there are still some holdouts for whom sedans still make sense: for these vehicles come with similar or more features than a typical hatchback or compact-SUV and are oftentimes regarded as safer, more fuel-efficient, and more luxurious.
For those looking to buy sedans, here are four models, loaded with features, that are priced between Rs 38 to 42 lakh.

Proton Saga
The Proton Saga was launched in Nepal in January 2021. The company’s only sedan in the lineup, it is powered by a 1.3L VVT engine that generates 91 Ps of power and a torque of 117 Nm. Its engine is mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission, depending upon the variant.

The Saga comes with notable features such as a floating 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, tilting steering wheel, Eco drive assist, electric ORVMs, power windows, 3 USB ports, bench-type rear seat fold, and remote trunk release.

Maruti Suzuki CIAZ
The Maruti Suzuki CIAZ made its debut in Nepal in early 2015. Later, in 2018, the CIAZ got a facelift: the engine was upgraded to the K15 Smart Hybrid engine, which generates a power of 90 hp and a torque of 200 Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.

Among the sedan’s notable features are its tilt steering, cruise control, push start/stop, keyless entry, reverse parking camera with sensors, pollen filter, and anti-theft alarm system.
The CIAZ comes in two different variants: Delta and Alpha.

Honda Amaze
The Amaze comes in two engine options: a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine and a 1.5L i-DTEC engine. The car powered by the 1.2L petrol engine generates 66 kW of power and a torque of 110 Nm. And the one powered by the 1.5L diesel engine generates a power of 73 kW and a torque of 200 Nm. Both engines come mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed CVT.

The vehicle, which employs Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) structure, comes with a plethora of safety features such as front dual airbags, automatic headlight control with light sensor, Dr and As seat pretensioners with load limiter, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor, and high-speed alert.

Changan Alsvin
Changan debuted in Nepal in 2021 by launching the Alsvin–a luxury sedan powered by a 1.4L BlueCore engine that generates a power of 74 kW and a torque of 135 Nm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The sedan comes with a plethora of convenience features such as AC vents, remote key, height-adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, power-adjustable ORVM, parking sensor, USB charging socket, reverse-driving display, intelligent start/stop technology, and electronic trunk-open control.
