Skoda India launches the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition

The Kushaq Monte Carlo edition has been launched with both 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engine options, and it sits above the top-spec Style variant. The new variant gets a host of new exterior and interior designs and an updated instrument cluster and infotainment system.
What’s new?
Design
The Kushaq’s Monte Carlo edition gets a glossy black treatment for its grille surrounds, front and rear skid plates, trunk garnish and ORVMs, and the roof comes with a carbon steel paint.The SUV’s front fender gets a Monte Carlo badging, replacing the Skoda badge on outgoing models. Furthermore, the ‘Skoda’ and ‘Kushaq’ badging on the rear also get a glossy black treatment. The SUV gets bigger Vega 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the new Kushaq comes with dual-tone (red and black) leatherette upholstered seats with the ‘Monte Carlo’ lettering on headrests. Also, red accents can be seen on the dashboard, centre console, interior door handles, and door panels.

Features
The Monte Carlo edition gets a new 8-inch digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system has been upgraded to a red-themed 10-inch touchscreen display. Other notable new features include red ambient lighting on the front passenger side and aluminium foot pedals.
Engine
The Kushaq Monte Carlo comes with two engine options: 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), like its predecessors. The 1.0 TSI engine comes mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The model powered by the 1.5 TSI engine also comes with the same manual transmission but gets a seven-speed DSG.
