Suzuki unveils new scooter in India–the Avenis

Suzuki has launched the new Avenis 125 scooter in India at a starting price of INR 86,700. The scooter comes in three variants: the standard edition, the ride-connect edition, and the race edition. 


The Avenis gets a sporty bodywork featuring a sleek apron-mounted LED headlight, a cowl handlebar (with integrated bulb indicators), creased side panels with flush-fit pillion footpegs, a convenient dual-luggage hook, and external-hinge type fuel cap.


Powering the Avenis is a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC  engine–mated to a CVT transmission–that generates a power of 6.39 kW at 10000 rpm and a torque of 10 Nm at 8500 rpm. 

The scooter’s notable features include an integrated engine start/kill switch with the Suzuki Easy Start system and a side-stand interlock.


The Suzuki Avenis gets an all-digital instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity that includes features such as missed-call alerts, SMS alerts, WhatsApp alerts, speed-exceeding alert, phone battery level display, and turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter also comes with a front box with a USB socket and a large underseat storage space.

Launch date and price in Nepal

The newly launched Suzuki Avenis is expected to arrive in Nepal in the first quarter of 2022. The scooter might get launched during the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2022.
