SYM enters Nepal with the NH-T 200 | Price and specs revealed

Sanyang Motor Co. Ltd–the Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer–made their Nepal debut in 2018. Now, the brand has re-entered the Nepali market by introducing the SYM NH-T 200 in the dirt bike segment. KG International handles the distributorship of SYM motorcycles here, and they expect to launch the motorcycle soon after its showroom inauguration in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu.

The company has announced that the price of the SYM NH-T 200 (for the first 100 customers) has been set at NPR 5,48,888 lakh; however, after the first 100 sales, the price of the motorcycle will eventually rise.

SYM is Taiwans’ first auto-manufacturing company. And even after 60+ years of their inception, they remain a leading brand, actively deploying their units in the international market. The company currently produces an array of products–mopeds, scooters, bikes, and cubs–which they sell in 90 countries worldwide.

The latest model offered by the company–the NH-T 200–is a crossover adventure model designed for urban explorers. Design-wise, the motorcycle has an upright position, which optimises the rider’s visibility of the road. The bike’s beak-shaped face and visor make the bike seem like a bird of prey ready for adventure. The lights are full-LED, and the motorcycle features an LCD digital instrument console featuring a speedometer, turn-light indicator, gear indicator, fuel gauge, trip meter, etc.

Propelling the NH-T 200 is a 4-stroke, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine capable of generating a maximum power of 18 hp at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 15.7 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The bike has outstanding handling as it comes equipped with a perimeter frame, telescopic fork suspension at the front, a single swing-suspension at the rear, and disc brakes on both wheels (front: 288 mm; back: 222 mm), along with a dual-channel ABS.

The dimensions of the NH-T 200 measure 2068 mm in length, 860 mm in width, and 1195 mm in height. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres; the wheelbase measures 1405 mm; the kerb weight is 152 kg; and the bike can achieve a top speed of 125 kmph.
