Triumph Motorcycles have recently unveiled their new Special Edition Rocket 3 models: the Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT. The bikes will be available in a unique colour scheme and for just one year.
The bikes feature height-adjustable cushioned backrests, easy-reach handlebars, taller windscreen, and wheels with a rather premium dual-tone finish. The bikes also come with signature twin-LED headlights with Triumphmaker’s triangle branding.
Both the Rocket 2021 editions come equipped with hill-hold control, cruise control, keyless ignition and keyless steering lock, as well as an underseat USB-charging socket. The instruments are full-TFT and are angle-adjustable. For safety, the bike features a ground anchor, U-lock, disc lock, and alarmed disc lock.
Powering both the Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT is a 2458cc triple-engine that delivers a power of 123 kW at 6000 rpm and a torque of 221 Nm at 4000 rpm–which makes for the world’s highest torque on a production bike. The bikes come with a six-speed manual gearbox paired with a torque-assist hydraulic clutch.
The Triumph 2021 Special Edition R and GT models come with the standard specification of the base models, including cornering ABS, and cornering traction-control–powered by a sophisticated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
