Advanced Automobiles, the authorised distributor of Renault has launched one of the most awaited compact multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), the Renault Triber in Nepal. With a starting price of Rs 2,820,000, the Renault Triber is one of the most affordable 7-seaters in the market. According to the company, the Renault Triber will be available in four trims — RXE,RXL,RXT,RXZ, with more than 20 key features as standard across all variants.
According to the press release issued by the company, the new Triber is a stylish and spacious vehicle, equipped with modern and practical features and offers a total of more than 100 different seat configurations in under 4 metres. It has more than 30 class leading features such as easy fix seats, SUV skid plates, LED instrument cluster, twin AC vents, high ground clearance of 182 mm and a 8-inch touch screen ‘Media Nav Evolution’ system which supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets climate control, tilt-steering adjust, seat height adjust, MID display, four-door power windows, powered ORVMs and rear defogger.
Renault Triber is built with several safety features like class leading 4 airbags: front and side airbags for driver and front pillion, rear parking sensor and ABS. It also gets cautionary alerts and safety reminders like speed sensing door lock, impact sensing unlock, speed alert and seat belt reminder. The Triber was first launched in India in August 2019.

The new Triber is powered by the new ‘Energy Engine’, a 1.0 litre petrol motor which produces a maximum power of 72 bhp at 6250rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 6250 rpm. Renault claims that the new engine is a great balance between performance and fuel economy, with a low total cost of maintenance.
In terms of modularity, the new Triber comes with a detachable mechanism for the last row seats which can be removed completely to make more space for luggage. The boot space is limited to 84 litres when all seats are in use but it can be expanded to 625 litres by removing both seats at the back. The car even allows second row passengers to adjust and recline seats as per their requirement.
