UNVEILED: 2017 HONDA CBF190X TOURER IN CHINA
Posted On: November 2, 2016 By : AutoLife TeamJapanese manufacturer Honda has unveiled an entry-level adventure tourer, the CBF190X, at the 14th China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMA 2016) in Chongqing, China. Set to join CB190R and CBF190R in the company’s sub 200cc lineup, the 2017 Honda CBF190X is currently exclusive for Chinese markets only.
The dual purpose sports-tourer, christened as the ‘Fight Hawk’ in the local market, borrows design inspiration from the bigger Africa Twin. It is powered by a 184 cc SOHC air-cooled single cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 15 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 14.9Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
Styling wise, the CBF190X gets a tall floating windscreen with an extended “beak”, front cowl, long-travel front suspension, Africa Twin colour scheme and extended rear grab-rails that look ready to mount panniers. Braking duties are taken care by single hydraulic discs at the front and rear.
While the CBF190X is a China-only product, we hope that Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India brings the bike in the Indian market as it will appeal to young adventure enthusiasts.
