VEYRON Bugatti Reveals ‘Ettore Bugatti’ Veyron
Posted On: August 21, 2014 By : AutoLife TeamBugatti has revealed the sixth and final car in its Legends series, the ‘Ettore Bugatti’ dedicated to the company founder Ettore Bugatti. The ‘Les Légendes de Bugatti’ is an exclusive edition of Bugatti Veyrons that pays homage to renowned people who have played a crucial role building this luxury marquee.
As with other entries in the series, this car is based on the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, which produces 1200 bhp of power and an unparalleled torque of 1500 Nm. The roadster is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds. With a maximum speed of 408.84 km/h with the roof down, the Vitesse is the world’s fastest production roadster ever built.
The Ettore Veyron will be the first production car to use clear coated aluminum. The exterior is dedicated to Ettore Bugatti’s passion for the unusual in automobile construction. The exterior styling pays homage to the original Bugatti Type 41 Royale of 1932. Similarly, the interior is treated with blue-finished carbon-fiber accents like the exterior. Bugatti is using two types of leather for the first time in the “Ettore Bugatti” Legend, along with special badges and emblems. A platinum-coated dancing elephant can be seen between the two seats, originally designed by Ettore’s brother, Rembrandt Bugatti. This Veyron will also have an engraved signature of Ettore Bugatti onto the fuel filled cap. As with other models in the series, this Ettore Bugatti special edition is limited to just three examples, with a price tag of over $3 million.
