Volkswagen launches the Polo Legend to mark its end of production in India
Posted On: April 6, 2022 By : Shuva Raj KhatriAfter 12 years in India, Volkswagen bids farewell to its most successful hatchback–the Polo–in the country. To mark the Polo’s end of production in India, the company has launched the Polo Legend, which is based on its GT TSI variant.
The new Polo Legend edition will be limited to just 700 units, and its price in India is INR 10.25 lakh.

Design
The new Polo Legend’s design remains identical to that of the GT TSI variant; however the new hatchback gets a ‘Legend’ badging on the fender and boot, and new body graphics on the sides have been added. Furthermore, the Legend comes with a dual-tone exterior featuring black coloured roof, unlike its predecessors.

Engine
The Polo Legend will get the same engine and specifications as the outgoing GT TSI model. Powering the hatchback will be a 1.0L TSI engine that generates 108.7 hp of power and a torque of 178 Nm. The engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission only.
