Hero launches the Limited Xpulse Rally Edition at INR 1.52 lakh

After finding great success with the new Xpulse 200 4V model, Hero Motocorp has launched the bike’s Rally Edition model in India. The launch of the new bike–which features amplified off-roading capabilities–comes on the heels of the roll out of the dedicated Rally Kit for the brand’s 4V models.

Booking for the limited edition model will open on July 22, 12 pm, via the company’s online sales platform–eShop. The price for the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition model has been set at INR 1.52 lakh.

What’s new?

Design and features

The 4V Rally Edition’s design remains largely the same as its outgoing models’. However, the limited edition model, inspired by the Hero MotoSports Rally Bikes, gets rally code graphics on the sides and the cylinder head has been coloured red. The bike gets the same set of LED lights as on its predecessors. 

The new model comes with notable features such as a full digital LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and call alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, gear indicator, eco mode, two trip meters, and single-channel ABS as standard.

Engine and specifications

Powering the Rally Edition model is the familiar 199.6cc, oil-cooled, 4-valve, OHC engine that generates 18.9 hp of power at 8500 rpm and a torque of 17.35 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike comes with a seven-fin cooling mechanism for engine-heat management–like on its outgoing model.

The new model gets a slightly longer wheelbase, and its ground clearance and seat height have been increased by 50mm and 60mm, respectively. Furthermore, the bike gets an extended gear lever, longer side-stand, and handlebar risers of 40mm.

Wheels, brakes, and suspension

The Rally Edition model gets a taller, fully adjustable front suspension with 250mm travel, and on the rear is an adjustable 10-step monoshock suspension with 220mm travel. The braking duties are handled by a petal disc brake at both ends.
