MAW Enterprises, the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, has launched the Yamaha 2021 MT-15 BS6 in Nepal.
The design and quality of the MT-15 BS6 bike essentially remains the same as the BS4 version. However, the BS6 version comes with a host of updates, including a stand cut-off sensor and new graphics—in red and white.
The most exciting update on the MT-15 BS6 is its new 155cc BS6-compliant engine, which marks a significant change over the engines featured in the brand’s previous models. The MT-15 BS6 is available in three colour options: Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue, and Ice Fluo Vermillion.
Design and features
The face of the Yamaha MT-15 BS6, which has been inspired by the ‘Dark Warrior’ branding character, features design cues usually seen on samurai masks. The rest of the bike’s aesthetics, however, remains largely unchanged. That said, the LED headlight and taillight, feature slight tweaks to the versions in the BS4.

At the front, the Yamaha MT-15 BS6 flaunts an aggressive look, featuring an all-LED headlight with a projector set-up that enhances night visibility.
Yamaha has equipped the MT-15 BS6 with a digital instrument cluster with a negative display that includes a digital speedometer, tachometer, odometer, gear-position indicator, and gear-shift indicator. The bike also features an ABS brake, an engine-kill switch, and a single-piece seat style.

Yamaha MT-15 specifications
As mentioned earlier, the Yamaha MT 15 uses a BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 18.5 PS of maximum power at 10000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 8500 rpm.

Compared to the previous MT-15 version, which produced 19.3 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm peak at 8500 rpm, the Yamaha MT-15 BS6 generated slightly lower power and torque because of the BS6-compliant engine, whose focus is on reducing air pollution.
The MT-15 BS6 also features fuel-injection technology. The bike comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and can reach a top speed of 118 km/h. The MT-15 BS6 provides great mileage—of up to 40 to 45 Km/L. The MT-15 also features a slipper & assist clutch.
