Zongshen motorcycles enter Nepali market

Region Motors Business Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Zongshen two-wheelers in Nepal, has launched two motorcycles and one scooter in the country. Among the newly launched motorcycles are a Zongshen adventure model (the RX3), a street model (the Z-One), and a scooter (the ZT6).

Khagendra Basnet, managing director of Region Motors Business, said that Zongshen’s two-wheelers get a  seven-year engine warranty. Zongshen’s first showroom is located at Sanepa Ring Road and the second showroom will be opened in Surkhet. The company says that it will further expand Zongshen’s showrooms to Birtamod, Dharan, Damak, and Pokhara after the festival season.


The RX3 is an adventure motorcycle that’s powered by a 249.6 cc, single cylinder, water-cooled engine that generates 18.5 kW of power and a torque of 22.5 Nm. Its engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission. 

The motorcycle comes with a 15l fuel tank capacity and features a full-digital instrument cluster, mobile charging USB port, and a 45-litre capacity storage box that is worth about Rs 1.5 lakh.

The Z-One is a street bike that’s powered by a 180 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine–mated to a five-speed gearbox–that generates 11.5 kW of power and 13.5 Nm of torque. 

The motorcycle comes with an 18-litre fuel tank and has a top speed of 110 kph. It has a seat height of 760 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm.

Powering the ZT6 scooter is a 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 6.8 kW of power and 9 Nm of torque. 

The scooter comes with a six-litre fuel tank and features alloy wheels, a double rear shock, and a digital meter.
