Royal Enfield unveiled the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition during the Motoverse festival in Goa, India. This Limited Edition bike, inspired by the SG650 concept, features a neo-retro design with custom colour schemes. With only 25 units set for production, the company has priced the exclusive bike at INR 4.25 lakh. The company has decided to produce only 25 units of this special edition bike, pricing it at INR 4.25 lakh.
The Motoverse Edition Shotgun 650, built on the same platform as the Super Meteor 650, will come with notable design elements such as a round-shaped LED headlight, circular mirrors, teardrop-shaped fuel tank inspired from SG650 concept, 10-inch spoke alloy wheels, custom pea-shooter exhaust, and a round-shaped LED tail light. The new neo-retro motorcycle will feature a versatile split seat that easily transitions from a classic single-seater to a dual-seater with minimal hassle. Additionally, the solo seat is leather-upholstered and detailed with custom stitching.
The company has not yet revealed the powertrain specifications for the Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition. However, given that it is built on the Super Meteor 650’s platform, there’s a possibility it could share the same powertrain. The bike is anticipated to be powered by a 648 cc parallel-twin, four-stroke, air-oil cooled, and SOHC engine capable of producing a peak power of 46.35 hp at 7250 rpm and a peak torque of 52.3 Nm at 5650 rpm. In terms of transmission, the bike is expected to feature a six-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The Shotgun 650 Limited Edition will also feature genuine Royal Enfield accessories, including bar-end mirrors, pillion footpegs, rider’s footpegs, and LED black indicators. Additionally, the limited edition motorcycle will be available with an extended warranty and RSA service. While specific details about the features are not provided, it is likely to share similar features with the Super Meteor 650. These may include dual-channel ABS, a wet and multi-plate clutch, disc brakes on both ends, a 15-litre fuel tank, and LED lighting, among others.
The Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition has been priced at INR 4.25 lakh and is expected to be available for global sale next year. The company is also set to introduce the standard Shotgun 650 model, likely positioned below the Super Meteor 650. The standard model’s pricing is anticipated to be lower than that of the Limited Edition models, falling in the range of INR 3.2-3.7 lakh.
