Nissan has launched the all-new Magnite AMT variants at the 2023 NADA Auto Show. The all-new Magnite AMT new Magnite AMT models maintain the same design and features as the previous manual transmission versions; however, the SUV now comes with the convenience of an AMT option. The company has offered the SUV in five variants: the XL Mid, the XV Upper, the XV Upper Dual, the XV Premium, and the XV Premium Dual–at a starting price of Rs 38.74 lakh.
Design and features
The new Magnite AMT gets the same design as the outgoing Magnite models. The SUV comes with notable exterior design elements such as dominating front grille, L-shaped LED DRLs with LED fog lamps, wide split signature LED taillamps, silver skid plates, and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, among others. And for interiors, the Magnite AMT models come with a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a seven-inch multifunctional TFT instrument console, an eight-inch floating infotainment system, and ambient lighting, among others.
The Magnite AMT comes equipped with notable safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, speed sensing lock, anti theft alarm, tyre pressure monitoring system, immobiliser, hill start assist, traction control system, and anti roll bar, depending upon the variants. For convenience, the SUV gets cruise control, power windows, remote keyless entry, AC manual/auto with heater, wireless charger, air purifier, height adjustable driver’s seat, 60:40 split rear seats, four speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity, based on the variants.
Powertrain
The new Magnite retains the same engine options as the outgoing models but now offers an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) as well. The SUV is available with a 1.0-litre petrol engine capable of generating 71 hp of power and a torque of 96 Nm at 3500 rpm. Additionally, there’s a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces a peak power of 98 hp and a peak torque of 160 Nm. Furthermore, the SUV features a 40-litre fuel tank and provides a mileage of 19-20 kmpl.
