The BYD Dolphin electric hatchback has been launched in Nepal by Cimex Inc., the official dealer of BYD for Nepal. The sale of the Dolphin hatchback started today with an event held at the Naxal Showroom.
The Dolphin is priced at NPR 3980000. It has a 44.9 kWh battery that can deliver a range of 340 kilometers on a single charge, as certified by WLTP. The Dolphin is powered by a 70 kW motor and has a length of 4290 mm, width of 1770 mm, and height of 1570 mm.
The Dolphin supports a 60 kW DC fast charger and a 7 kW AC charger. The DC fast charger can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes, while the AC charger will take about 6 hours to fully charge the battery.
The Dolphin will compete directly with the MG-4 electric hatchback, which was launched in Nepal on 11 September 2023. The MG-4 is also powered by an electric motor and has a range of 350 kilometers on a single charge.
