Ford has launched the latest iteration of the Everest in Nepal. This 7-seater SUV boasts a fresh and robust design, an extensive set of safety and convenience features, and it is powered by a 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo diesel engine that produces 207 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The company has offered the SUV with an initial price tag of Rs 2.40 crore.
Design
The new Everest boasts a sturdy and robust design. At the front, it shares similarities with Ford’s Ranger model, featuring a fresh grey-colored grille with the brand logo positioned in the center, seamlessly connecting to LED projector headlights equipped with distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The rear of the SUV also embraces a more muscular and rugged appearance compared to its predecessors. It features stylish LED taillights connected by a horizontal bar, embellished with the “Everest” logo. Additionally, the vehicle is offered in a selection of five different colors: Absolute Black, Sedan Orange, Arctic White, Aluminium Metallic, and Meteor Grey.
The new generation of the Everest comes with a roomy and comfortable interior. Inside, you’ll find a three-row seating layout that provides seating for seven occupants. All seats are covered in leather upholstery, with the driver’s seat offering eight-way adjustability, the second-row seats featuring a 60:40 split function, and the third-row seats equipped with a 50:50 power folding capability. Other noteworthy interior features include a multifunction steering wheel with controls for audio and voice commands, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.4-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Powertrain
The new Everest is powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Bi-Turbo diesel engine, which delivers a maximum power output of 207 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. This engine is coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission. As for the SUV’s drivetrain, it offers four-wheel drive capability and is equipped with an 80-liter fuel tank. The company asserts that its aerodynamic design and prominent grille contribute to an estimated fuel efficiency of 10 kmpl.

The new generation of the Everest comes equipped with a Terrain Management System that automatically adjusts the SUV’s driving modes based on the type of terrain it’s traversing, including Sand, Snow/Mud, and Rock, to enhance safety and stability control. In terms of safety, the SUV offers features such as hill assist launch, traction control, hill descent control, electronic parking brake, rollover mitigation, 7 airbags, a 360-degree view camera, rear parking assistance with guidelines, ABS with EBD (Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with roll stability, and blind-spot monitoring. Furthermore, for convenience, the SUV boasts notable features including a dual-panel sunroof, keyless entry, electronic power steering, wireless charging, power-adjustable and foldable mirrors with puddle lamps, Bluetooth connectivity, an 8-speaker sound system, and ambient lighting, among other amenities.
