Hyundai has launched the new iteration of the Venue in Nepal. While the 2022 Venue boasts some significant design updates, the choice of powertrain remains consistent, featuring solely a gasoline engine. Hyundai has made the new SUV available in three different trims: E, S, and SX–at a starting price of Rs 39.96 lakh.
Design
The all-new Venue model comes with an updated front appearance, highlighted by a novel parametric jewel grille that extends to include the turn indicators and is complemented by newly designed LED headlights featuring daytime running lights (DRLs). Moving to the rear, the SUV boasts a redesigned LED horizontal light strip that connects to the revised taillights. Moreover, the SUV is available in a choice of six different colors: Typhoon silver, Titan grey, Denim blue, Fiery red, Polar white, and Phantom black.
For the interior, the SUV offers a cabin with a dual-tone color scheme in black and greige, and it boasts leather-upholstered seats. The driver’s seat is adjustable in four ways, while the rear seats offer a two-step reclining feature and a 60:40 split functionality. The dashboard includes a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a digital instrument console featuring a color TFT MID (Multi-Information Display), and an eight-inch infotainment system that comes equipped with BlueLink technology.
Powertrain
The new Venue retains the same engine specifications as its predecessors and provides two engine choices: a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.2L petrol engine, which is coupled with a five-speed manual transmission, delivers a peak power of 82 hp and a peak torque of 113.8 Nm. On the other hand, the 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission), generates a maximum power of 118 hp and a maximum torque of 172 Nm. Additionally, the SUV offers three driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.
